Punar at Melbourne Fashion Week
As part of this year’s Melbourne Fashion Week, the Australia India Business Council partnered with Kangan Institute and VETASSESS to host a thoughtful and future-focused panel on the intersection of fashion, technology and India–Australia collaboration.
This event holds special significance for us at Punar. This marks our second consecutive year proudly sponsoring this prestigious AIBC fashion-focused event — a platform that champions creators, culture, and conscious industry practices.
As a gifting partner, Punar stood alongside Proud of Colour Beauty and Sewing the Seed.
Expertly curated and hosted by Molina Asthana GAICD, AIBC’s National Industry Lead for Sport, Art and Culture, the conversation brought together voices who are truly shaping the global fashion landscape. Panel members, Anuradha Chandrashekar, Sky Briffa from Natio and Abhishek Vohra had great insights on the intersection of fashion and technology.
One of the most meaningful moments was Anuradha’s presentation highlighting her partnership with Tharangini Studio, led by Padmini Govind. Fashion can be innovative and ethical. Technology can uplift tradition, not replace it.
And cross-border collaboration can open new pathways for creators in both countries
At Punar, we believe in a future where creativity, sustainability and culture move together.
Events like this reaffirm why our mission matters — and why we’re committed to supporting spaces that elevate Indian craftsmanship, celebrate diversity, and drive meaningful industry change.
We’re honoured to continue being part of this growing conversation — and excited for everything that lies ahead.
