Our Story

Extraordinary women making extraordinary gifts

Reviving Artistry, Empowering Women, and Redefining Sustainability in Gifting

In Sanskrit, "Punar" means "again," symbolizing rebirth and rejuvenation—a concept deeply intertwined with our company's ethos. At Punar, we are on a transformative journey, one that honours women artisans seeking new beginnings despite challenging socioeconomic backgrounds. We are committed to uplifting these women, fostering gender equality, and reducing textile waste by creating sustainable corporate gifts, branded business gifts and luxury homewares.

Every gift is a story of transformation, resilience, and hope. They carry a message of ethical responsibility and environmental stewardship.

We pride ourselves on employing a minimum of 70% women artisans, offering them fair wages and ensuring equal pay for all. We understand that providing a nurturing, safe, and supportive work environment is key to empowering these artisans. Our commitment is writing a new, inspiring story in the Indian handloom industry.

At Punar, we always review supplier social responsibility statements and proud to be partnering with suppliers who are championing ethical production. As Punar continues to grow and evolve, we will be sharing some wonderful stories on how our women artisans are enjoying a fulfilling career and supporting their families.

We are proud to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower women

Goal 1: No Poverty

Goal 12: Sustainable Production and Consumption patterns

Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat Climate Change

The beautiful handwoven fabrics are made using finest quality recycled yarn, that is created using landfill textile waste. Our women handloom weavers are paid 2 to 3 times higher than the 67% underpaid weavers in India. By upskilling and paying fair wages to women, we are supporting and uplifting their community.
Our greatest joy is that we are able create positive impact for people and planet.
