Meet Priya Ravindra, Founder and CEO of Punar. Her life purpose is to lift women around her and by launching Punar she is aiming to bring this purpose to fruition.
Punar artisans are predominantly women weavers in India and they are paid fair wages, a good new story in the unregulated handloom industry. Punar is committed to equal pay and investing in women everyday.
Priya has made it her mission to infuse positive change into the world of corporate and business gifting. Her dedication to ethics, sustainability, and empowering women artisans in India is both inspiring and impactful. Under her leadership, Punar has emerged as a beacon of hope for these artisans and their communities.
Priya is an accredited company director, GAICD and has over 20 years of experience of delivering technology and business transformation projects within public and private sectors. Priya has been leading and advocating gender diversity and equal opportunity initiatives for women since 2002. She has also served on two boards for over 5 years in the past. She is the author of a best seller collaborative book "Voices of Influence: The untold stories of remarkable speakers".
Priya lives in Melbourne with her daughter and husband. When not working, she enjoys yoga, art, writing, travelling and some adrenaline fuelling activities like Bungee jumping and zip lining.
